About the project

We were tasked with construction of a day care facility and a medical clinic within the 7,500 sq. ft. ballroom of the historical Hotel Oakland — without compromising the integrity of the original building. Work included conference rooms, offices, a nurses’ station, several exam and medical rooms, a reception area, a commercial kitchen, and restrooms with shower facilities. We also installed electrical systems and flooring, a complex HVAC system, and accent lighting which highlights details of the hotel’s ornate architecture. All work was performed with care not to disturb elderly residents of the hotel.
