About the project
New construction of a 41,000 sq. ft. mixed-use, affordable senior housing development. The craftsman style development provides 40 affordable apartments for seniors, including a common area, covered parking, and first floor commercial space. BBI Construction was hired when the project was in the early design phase. We worked with SAHA and the architect to bring construction costs into budget. A variety of funding sources were utilized for the project, including HUD financing.
Sustainable design features include photovoltaic panels for electricity in common spaces, highly efficient framing methods for conservation of building materials, and low VOC content finish materials.
