About the project
This 16,000 sq. ft. phased construction project was completed over a multi-year schedule. The completed first phase involved a tight schedule to complete renovation and additions to existing buildings during the summer. Scope included bump-out of four classrooms and extensive site work and playground renovation. The completed second phase included two new one-story and two-story wood-frame buildings for classrooms, and recreation/ performance space.
Construction occurred while the existing facilities were occupied and school was in session. The project was awarded through negotiation when drawings were in design development phase. BBI Construction worked with the owner and design team on budgeting and value engineering.
