About the project

This project involved structural repairs and the restoration of the interior of the sanctuary after fire and water damage. There was extensive structural damage to the roof framing which was located in an attic space above the plaster shell ceiling. Repairs involved high scaffolding inside and outside the building. All finishes were restored including the plaster, vaulted ceiling which was extensively damaged by water used to extinguish the flames. Crews had to protect and work around an existing two-million-dollar pipe organ. The project was done on an expedited schedule to get the sanctuary back into use by the congregation.
