The seismic upgrade of a 42,000 sq. ft. single room occupancy hotel. The building was unreinforced masonry. The structural work involved attaching tubular steel bracing to existing steel and adding reinforcement steel and gunite to the walls. The project also included mechanical, plumbing, and electrical work, as well as extensive refinishing.
