About the project
The project consisted of the seismic upgrade to the structures of six single-story buildings originally built in 1968. The renovation of the interior space included replacement of units’ entry doors, new energy efficient interior lighting, fixtures, new appliances, new flooring, cabinets, faucets, countertops. Low flow toilets were also installed.
The original wall heaters, emergency call system and hard wired fire/smoke detection and alarm system were also updated. On the exterior, replacement of asphalt shingle and roofing, installation of site lighting, replacement of unit entry doors, additional waterproofing measures, new sewer main, updated water supply system and improved accessibility to units. A new social hall was also added.’
