About the project
This substantially completed, affordable senior housing project consists of two five-story buildings, Oak Grove North and Oak Grove South. This renovation included the replacement of stucco siding at all sides (except part of north elevation and stairwell walls). Complete replacement of roofing, windows and patio doors at all units. Replacement of waterproofing, concrete toppings, and guardrails at each balcony.
The common areas were all remodeled for ADA compliance including the community room kitchen, public toilet rooms, on-site manager’s office and trash room/trash chute area. The HVAC System for the community room and offices was changed from gas furnaces to heat pump systems. To increase energy efficiency a photovoltaic system was also added. A variety of funding sources were utilized for the project, including HUD financing.
