About the project

This occupied rehabilitation of 22 units within five buildings is located four blocks from the West Oakland BART station.  It consisted of phased renovations taking place while tenants were relocated in groups.  The 1922 structures required new siding at selected locations, exterior painting, new roofs and windows to increase the acoustic and energy efficiency.  The interior construction consisted of adding new gas fired water heaters, flooring, painting and limited cabinet replacement in all units.  Minor common area repairs were made.  On the exterior –  new planting, lighting and selective paving and courtyard repairs adjacent the common room.
