About the project
Multi-phase occupied rehabilitation project was completed on an historic designated building in downtown Oakland and included detailed planning for continuous access to all 7 floors by tenants. Intense planning during both pre-construction and the construction phase was required for the demolition of the existing elevator and the installation of a new elevator shaft while replacing the elevator and single stair shaft in the building.
All of the units were completely refurbished and six were specifically selected to receive energy upgrades. A significant amount of work and coordination were completed in conjunction with the John Stewart Company.
