West Oakland Youth Center

Construction of two new wood frame buildings (11,200 gross sq. ft.) and renovation of park and playground areas in an existing community youth center. The new buildings provide space for offices, classrooms, and a 1,000 sq. ft., four court gymnasium for local youth activities. As facilities were fully occupied during the project, special care was taken to separate construction and youth activities. This was a public project for which BBI Construction exceeded stringent City of Oakland local hiring goals.
