U.C. Berkeley Ultra High Vacuum Cleaning Facility

Renovation of an existing 2,500 sq. ft. plating shop into a cleaning facility for high energy particle accelerator parts. The work included a distilled industrial water system, liquid cleaning tanks, specialized epoxy coatings, and installation of a structural fiberglass flooring system to support the new polypropylene tanks. The electrical scope included a new 200 KVA generator and emergency transformer. Fiberglass ducting for the extensive ventilation system and noncorrosive piping were installed throughout the structure. |
