New construction of a three-story, 14,500 sq. ft. steel frame addition upgrade and remodel of an existing 21,000 sq. ft. firehouse for the Emergency Operations []

About the project

New construction of a three-story, 14,500 sq. ft. steel frame addition upgrade and remodel of an existing 21,000 sq. ft. firehouse for the Emergency Operations and Fire Dispatch centers. Work included the installation of sophisticated electrical and electronic control systems to keep the facility operating at full capacity in the event of a citywide emergency.

The structural design of the building exceeds rigorous “essential service facility” standards. The Center provides offices for 20 municipal departments and agencies, including the police and fire departments, the Mayor, and the departments of Communications and Information Services.
