About the project

This award winning project is a full rehabilitation with significant seismic upgrades to a concrete building. It was financed through the San Francisco Mayors Office of Housing RAD program. The scope included very intrusive concrete demolition, design-build micro piles, shoring, shotcrete, formwork, and rebar with extensive upgrades to the interiors. The demolition process was done following the guidelines of the Construction and Demolition Debris Recovery Program.

The project was completed in just over 20 months on April 2018. The initial foundation and structural work was completed with the building occupied. As concrete sheer walls were installed at each floor, the tenants were relocated and the units were completely upgraded with new electrical, fire sprinkler, sanitary sewer and radiant heating systems along with paint, carpet, kitchens and bathrooms.
