BBI Construction teamed up with Architectural Resources Group (ARG) and the John Ye Chin Elementary School at this year's Leap Sandcastle Classic, held at Ocean Beach in San Francisco. This year's theme was "Nature Rocks!" and the BBI/ARG team won the award for "Most Green Site." Along with recycling and composting and ordering team t-shirts that were organic and unbleached, part of the team sandcastle design included a solar/ turtle-powered SUV limo. The team collectively raised more than $9,000 and the Leap Sandcastle event as a whole raised more than $100,000. The proceeds will benefit much needed art programs for Bay Area elementary school children.
