This design-build project consisted of a two-story addition to the electron microscopy building. The steel-frame structure included 420 sq. meters of laboratory and office space. A complex concrete floor was built to isolate the lab floors from the foundation. In addition, the work included the installation of complex energy monitoring and controlling systems in order to maintain an optimum environment for the electron microscopes. |
